Weightlifting Strength Development, Open Cycle


Front or Back Squat Clusters

  Squats will be performed as clusters today. Athletes will perform 1st week of clusters at 70% 1RM or 80% of 5RM. Athletes should perform 4 sets of 8-rep clusters to reach total volume intended.

1 Set of an 8-Rep Cluster:

  1. 2 reps

  2. Rack bar + rest for 0:15

  3. 2 reps

  4. Rack bar + rest for 0:15

  5. 2 reps

  6. Rack bar + rest for 0:15

  7. 2 reps

  8. Rest til next set

Monostructural / Gymnastics Conditioning, Short/Mid-Duration
