Baylee Luebbers
Baylee says, “I was not the most athletic growing up.” Like many kids, she started out with soccer, softball, and basketball. She stuck with basketball throughout elementary school but didn’t continue the sport into high school. Her main sport during her high school years was actually golf! She still thoroughly enjoys getting some rounds in whenever she can. Besides golfing, she never really engaged in physical activity. “I thoroughly disliked P.E.” But something changed when she found CrossFit.
Like most people, Baylee was unsure of what she wanted to do after high school. After taking a little time to reflect on what she wanted to do off, she was introduced to CrossFit. Through CrossFit, she found an environment in which she loved. She found a routine and a competitive outlet that kept her returning to the gym.
She doesn’t believe in the ordinary, ‘go-whenever-you-want-do-whatever-you-want’ style like you would find at a globo-gym.
“I am so thankful I found CrossFit when I did. The CrossFit community helped motivate me to want to get better and to work on myself. Having coaches guide you and members to push you is exactly what I was missing. [The community] is what the high school P.E. teacher was missing too! It was his job and he didn’t seem like he was passionate about it.”
“No one would be motivated or even excited to be in that [an exercise environment]! But the CrossFit community is exactly the opposite! Everyone wants to be there, everyone is excited, and wants to come back.”
She is mostly thankful for the friends she made since starting CrossFit in October 2014. After the first couple of months, [of CrossFit], she knew the health & fitness industry is where she wanted to be involved. She received her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate in November of 2015, has since then renewed, and started her coaching career officially, that following year in January 2015.
Baylee continued her education and in 2020 among the COVID-19 craziness, received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO., minoring in Criminal Justice.
“With the knowledge and experience I gained from getting my undergraduate degree, I aim to help our members reach their health & fitness goals. The fitness industry is ever-changing and I am glad to be involved in it.
I am so grateful for the CFE Community and am excited to become a part of your fitness journey! I will help you reach your goals and celebrate when they happen! Through motivation and proper coaching, I promise to make your experience at CFE the best it can possibly be.
